Description

Welcome to Basket Weaving 101! In this introductory class, students will weave a open base, 6″ x 6″ x 3 1/2″ basket with natural reed and an accent color of their choice. During this first session, students will become familiar with working with the reed, become familiar with creating start and stop rows, and generally getting comfortable working with the material. An accent color of the student’s choice will be woven between the natural rows and used again in the rim. The rim will be a folded one, adding a little “pizzazz” at the top. This all purpose basket can be used for organization, on a bedside table, in the bathroom for storage, in the kitchen, as a decorative planter–let your needs determine it’s use! Come ready to have some fun and learn a craft!

This course is designed for students at all skill levels.
