Description
This course is designed to refine your enameling techniques as we dive deep into one of the most renowned vitreous enamel processes, Cloisonné. Students will get hands on experience in the Cloisonné process as we utilize fine silver foils and wire, sifting, and wet-packing techniques to create unique designs. Students will focus on building their understanding of firing temperatures and times, as they slowly build layers of opaque and transparent enamel. Finishing techniques will also be further explored.
Pre-requisites: Enameling 100: What the Flux?! Or instructor approval.
Basic metals/jewelry
experienced helpful but not required.
Open studio hours to work on projects during the course are included. Open studio runs Monday (3-6pm), Thursday (3-6pm) and Sunday(5-8pm). Students will have access to 4 open studio sessions during their course.

SCHOLARSHIPS applications are available for students who may not otherwise be able to enroll in a course. Additionally, standing sliding scale scholarships exist for QT/BIPOC students.
