Description
Building upon beginning skills, students will create a 6″ x 8″ open weave base basket using stop and start weaving, twining and cut and tuck rimming. A variety of reed types will be used as weavers and a bead rim will be added. Once done, students will have a choice of three stains to put on the finishing touch!
Students will learning twining, cut and tuck rimming, staining, how to determine the good side of the reed and creating a rectangular open weave base.
This course is designed for intermediate basketry students who have taken introduction to basketry, or have some prior basketry experience!
