Description
This six week workshop, produced by the people who direct Wooly Fair, will teach you the skills to put anything you want on wheels and then illuminate it for festive day and nighttime use. Emphasis will be on hand and peddle powered locomotion with skills taught in welding, bicycle maintenance and electrical engineering. Participants are encouraged to build bikes, carts, floats, furniture, and sculpture and then to illuminate it creatively. Participants who complete the course will be given tickets to the art carnival Wooly Fair and the invitation to participate in its 2026 event, Wooly Floats.
Students will learn welding, electrical engineering, industrial design, bicycle maintenance, float design, and lighting design.
This class is open to students of all levels of welding experience.
Open studio hours to work on projects during the course are included. Â Open studio runs Monday (3-6pm), Thursday (3-6pm) and Sunday (5-8pm). Students will have access to 4 open studio sessions during their course.

SCHOLARSHIPS
SCHOLARSHIPS applications are available for students who may not otherwise be able to enroll in a course. Additionally, standing sliding scale scholarships exist for QT/BIPOC students.
