Whether you have never touched clay or you find yourself in the “intermediate purgatory” you will benefit a great deal from this class. We will begin with the core “Five Steps” to successful wheel throwing and master control over the wheel and your body to it. Each week we will attempt to make a useful form suited to your favorite foods and beverages… from the simple soup bowl to the batter bowl… from the simple cup to your favorite mug! Pushing your skills each week you can expect to produce a wide assortment of pots you never thought possible.

No beginner should ever be left feeling like they did not learn the ENTIRE process, so we will also pay close attention to skills in decorating and glazing. I want to be sure you feel joy when using your pots! Join me for a journey in tableware that I’m very sure you will enjoy!
