Description

Chain weaving is an ancient craft originally used to create flexible, protective armor. Today, it has evolved into jewelry making, where hundreds of small stainless steel rings are linked by hand to form intricate, durable designs.
In this course, you’ll learn intermediate-level chainmaille techniques. Your instructor will guide you step by step through three detailed weaves, covering how to properly open and close rings, maintain clean patterns, and understand the structure behind each design. By the end of this weekend long course you’ll leave with a greater understanding of chain weaving, a finished
stainless steel piece, and a portable hobby!

Chainmaille 101 (S1) or a basic understanding is recommended. All materials are provided, including stainless steel o-rings, pliers, and finishing supplies. For cleaner closures, it’s recommended (but not required) to bring or purchase two pairs of Xuron Short Nose pliers
before class.
