Description
Chain weaving is an ages-old craft that began as a way to build flexible, protective armor. Today it lives on in jewelry making, where hundreds of small metal stainless steel rings are linked together by hand to create intricate, durable patterns.
In this course,, you’ll learn the foundations of this meditative and tactile art form. Go step by step with your instructor through three classic chain maille weaves, learning how to open and close rings properly, build clean patterns, and understand the structure behind each design. By the end of the workshop you’ll leave with new technical skills, a deeper appreciation for this historic
craft, and your own hand-woven chainmaille jewelry.
No prior experience needed – materials provided include stainless steel o rings, pliers, and finishing materials.
