Raw Wine 2017: The Recap!

On a lovely September evening, more than 200 wine enthusiasts joined Campus Fine Wines and the Steel Yard to taste over 80 natural wines!

Friends new and old tasted handmade wines from around the world while nibbling on local fine bites. As the music played and the wine flowed (in sips of course!) Steel Yard artists sold their fine crafts and local artist Tara Ebsworth’s Pillar of Light sculpture beckoned guests into her illuminated tower. Coal heated from an antique forge turned heavy iron glowing red, as Yardie blacksmiths plied their trade.

Year after year we look forward to this partnership and we can’t thank our friends at Campus Fine Wines enough. Year after year we look forward to this partnership and we can’t thank our friends at Campus Fine Wines enough.

We’d like send out a huge thank you and shout-out to everyone over at Oberlin, Narragansett Creamery, Seven Stars Bakery, North Bakery, Bywater, and Fortnight for providing some of the most fantastic food we could of imagined for the event.

Thank you to our partners over at Pat’s Pastured, Weenie Wizard, New Harvest Coffee Roasters, and Ocean State Oyster Festival 2017. Congrats to Michelle at Weenie Wizard for not only winning the magnum of wine but also a book in our raffle.

Campus Fine Wines and the Steel Yard share the core belief in a world made by hands,
where production is crafted and producers are connected to their audience, enriching
our lives and creating cultural and economic value. Thank YOU! For attending and sharing our mission.

Raw Wine 2017 is sponsored by RISCA – Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, Rhody Gold (The Compost Plant) & Bottle Rocket Design Group.
