Description

This 6hr course will introduce the basics of the hand held plasma cutter. The course will overview how to safely set-up, operate and troubleshoot common issues that may occur while operating this machine. Students will be provided with the opportunity to practice techniques for making precise cuts and be supported in the design and creation of their own personal project. In addition to using the plasma cutter this class will also go over the proper use of the angle grinder in order to clean up the work made in class.

Both the angle grinder and plasma cutter produce sparks and loud sounds that can be startling for folks with noise sensitivity. Personal Protection Equipment will be provided. Students attending this class must wear closed toe shoes, long sleeves and pants made of in natural fibers, denim, cotton and leather is encouraged, avoiding any synthetic materials and mesh.The class will be taking place in a shop setting which will involve loud sounds and standing on concrete flooring.
