Biking around the village of Peace Dale in South Kingstown and need to take a break? Keep your eyes peeled for these colorful bike racks! Artists from The Steel Yard stretched their imaginations and artistic techniques to create these unique designs that reflect local Peace Dale history. A splashing herring represents the migratory fish that fill the Saugatucket River, red locomotive carts recall the trains that connected the local mills to larger cities, and blue penny-farthings depict the vintage mode of transportation that was popular at the town’s height.
