Description

The key to welding is practice! However, many students do not have the time or capacity to jump right into creating after taking a welding course and might forget key aspects of mig welding, angle grinding, plasma cutting, band sawing etc. This class is a refresher for those who haven’t worked with metal recently but are eager to jump back into metalworking. This class is a time for you to ask all the questions you have and get comfortable in the shop again! Students will be encouraged to create works during the class and push the limits of their practices with the guidance and support of an experienced metal instructor. Students will walk away from this course with increased confidence and all the knowledge they need to jump back into metalworking at The Steel Yard and beyond.

SCHOLARSHIPS

SCHOLARSHIPS applications are available for students who may not otherwise be able to enroll in a course.  Additionally, standing sliding scale scholarships exist for QT/BIPOC students.
