Introducing the 2019-2020 Resident Artists

Residents, left to Right: Erica Compton, Bri Larson (Alloy Fellowship), Danika Notar (Kiln Fellowship) Ben Levine, Ellen Rogers, David Riley, Tom Hubbard (Merit Fellowship), and Topher Gent.

Join us in welcoming 2019-2020 Resident Artists to the shop! These eight talented and inspiring individuals earned an all-access pass to our 10,000 square foot industrial art studio over the next 12 months. That’s right – 12 whole months! Because of the recent building renovations, we’re now able to have the program run through the winter for the first time ever, (this is a big deal!)

The crew is made up of artists and makers who work in the industrial arts, metals, jewelry, and ceramics. These folks will take part in The Steel Yard events and sales and be creative leaders in the shop.

You might run into them as they create their artwork, or maybe they’ll be teaching the class that you enroll in. Please be sure to say ‘hello’ and get to know these fabulous Yardies, they’re enthusiastic and dedicated makers who are happy to talk about their practice (or yours!)

The Steel Yard’s Residency Program assists artists in growing and strengthening their art practice in a supportive, cooperative environment through access to the studios, tools, resources and support.
