Description
In this course, students will gain an understanding of leverage in order to bend steel with processes using heat and without heat. Students will fabricate a jig in order to bend the steel, and will use the techniques to create a drawing out of steel round bar. Students should have a brief understanding of MIG Welding. Knowledge of the Oxy-Acetylene torch is helpful but not necessary. Beginners are welcome. Students will be using the MIG welder, the Oxy-Acetylene torch to heat and the weld, bolt cutters, and angle grinders.
This course is designed for intermediate welding students who have taken a Weekend Welding course or have some previous experience.
