Description

Chain weaving is a type of jewelry-making technique that involves interlinking individual metal rings or links to create a flexible, fabric-like chain. This ancient art form dates back thousands of years, and has been practiced by many cultures around the world, from the intricate chainmail armor of medieval Europe to the delicate jewelry of the Byzantine Empire. Chain weaving can be both decorative and functional, offering strength, durability, and a distinctive aesthetic.

In this weekend workshop, students will learn the basics of chain weaving, and learn how to make 3 different flexible weaves on their first day, and make their own unique chain woven art on their second day with guidance from their instructor.
