Can the industrial co-exist with the natural? The answer is closer than you think! In 2014, three pieces were commissioned by the Providence branch of The Nature Conservancy, a global environmental nonprofit combating the climate crisis. A large sign announces the organization, two arrows decorated with green leaves help direct traffic, and a sculpture depicting the green spherical logo is placed on a tall, steel structure that decorates the leafy garden in front of the building. Through these eye-catching artistic works, The Steel Yard helps lure those off the cement and brick path towards a future where people and nature thrive.
