Welcome, THE IRON WAGON!

THANK YOU CHAMPLIN FOUNDATION!

With a generous grant from the Champlin Foundation, the Steel Yard recently welcomed a new addition to our Yardie family. . .a honkin’, heavy-duty Ford F-350 truck! While new to us, this gently used clean running beast of a diesel has been lovingly named the Iron Wagon. Thank you to Providence Painted Signs for adding our signature flair!

The Iron Wagon has already been put to good use; installing public art projects from Block
Island to Central Falls, transporting artist teams and hauling specialized equipment across the State. Says Howie Sneider, Steel Yard Executive Director, “Emblazoned with the Steel Yard and Chamlpin Foundation logos, our Iron Wagon is a beacon of creativity as it makes its way throughout our community.”

Most recently, the Iron Wagon made its big public debut as it hauled our mobile blacksmithing trailer to PVD Fest! A big thanks to the Champlin Foundation! Your support helps us achieve our mission of ensuring everyone have access to the industrial arts!
