Congratulations to the Steel Yard’s 2018 Artists in Residence!

2018 was an amazing year for the Residency Program at the Steel Yard. The cohort was chock-full of amazing, and motivated, makers, working in ceramics, metals, and jewelry. Residents worked throughout our departments growing their creative practices – there was a lot of learning, growing, and making. Residents made the most clay, created the most glazes, poured the most iron, and enameled the most metal.

On November 10th, 2018 we gathered in the metals shop to host the Annual Resident Artist’s Holiday sale and these folks knocked it out of the park. The event was held in collaboration with the Valley Arts District’s Annual Open Studios and hundreds of guests flocked the Yard to see and purchase our 2018 Artist in Residence work.

Please to follow these phenomenal folks and support their practice:

We couldn’t have asked for a more engaged, collaborative, crew of folks to work in our shop – it’s been an inspiration for the whole Yardie community. So, here’s a big thank you to all the people who applied and participated this year!
