Description

Test your hand-building skills in Building Big! In this 8 week course, students will be guided through the process of making large scale work, which can be sculptural, functional, or both! Students will learn to properly store their pieces and keep things workable over a duration of time, learn how to build supports for their work and have a general understanding of what it means to build big! This course will guide students with surfaces and glazing, but the emphasis will be on building.

With the emphasis on size be prepared to learn how to create, Come bring your big ideas, the kilns’ the limit! This class is designed for intermediate and advanced students with experience in hand-building.

Open studio hours to work on projects during the course are included.  Open studio runs Monday (3-6pm), Thursday (3-6pm) and Sunday (5-8pm). Students will have access to 6 open studio sessions during their course.

SCHOLARSHIPS

SCHOLARSHIPS applications are available for students who may not otherwise be able to enroll in a course.  Additionally, standing sliding scale scholarships exist for QT/BIPOC students.
