CANS OF OUR OWN

4 CUSTOM, ARTISTIC & FLAMING HOT WASTE RECEPTACLES!

Public Projects design, fabricate and install public art all over New England. Over the years they have created HUNDREDS of amazing and one-of-a-kind waste receptacles. What about the Yard, tho? We’ve always only had drab cans on campus for our events In 2020 we’re changing all of that!

Each receptacle features our easy side-opening doors, built-in rain guard, and a slot for interchangeable panels that say “recycling”, “compost”, or “landfill” depending on what we put in the interchangeable built-in slot. And what would a Public Project be without an artistic twist? These cans show off the true Yardie spirit with brightly colored torch flames- some hot, and some extra hot!

The cans were designed by the Public Projects team and fabricated during Weld to Work 2.0 in the Fall, taught by Charlie Corley. They finished up this winter by lead artist Jesi Nicoloro and Weld to Work graduates Courtney N. MacNeil, Jeylan Bowden, and Peter Tenney.
