Description
Welcome to the wonderful world of figurative sculpture! The figure is one of the most recognizable ways to communicate emotion and movement. In this course we will be building up heads based on our own proportions from bone, to écorché, to a recognizable face. This course is beginner to intermediate, with students learning to handbuild solid and hollow their work out as it dries, to measure proportions, and some brief anatomy to increase understanding of where the muscles in our face and neck lie. All skill levels are welcome, with figure drawing experience a huge positive.
