Saturday, April 29th, the Steel Yard joined our friends and partners for the 2017 Arbor Day
Celebration, and you know, for the love of trees. The Town of Bristol and Mosaico CDC were announced as the winners of a TD Green Streets grant program, and the Arbor Day Foundation, supporting innovation in urban forestry.
The $20,000 grant will fund projects in Bristol, RI including the planting of new trees throughout the Wood Street neighborhood.
Yardie & blacksmith extraordinaire, Willow Zietman, provided demonstrations on the Steel Yard’s Blacksmithing trailer all day to over 100 interested guests. The Steel Yard team was so thrilled to be part of this amazing event we are so glad to see this kind of community support for the Wood St. improvements.
Thank you, Mosaico CDC for inviting the community to celebrate and thank you to Willow for your amazing hard work. (In case you missed it, you’ll be able to see Willow rocking the blacksmithing demonstrations at PVD fest in downtown Providence, Rhode Island!
