We’ve got space to rent!

The Steel Yard has space available to rent at 27 Sims Avenue, 2nd floor/ Unit 4, above our main office. We’re on the hunt for partnership proposals from individuals, businesses, and groups who would like to join our creative community! What would you use it for? Previously, we rented the space as an office for $1,400 p/m + utilities but we want you to pitch YOUR idea and name YOUR price!

YOUR PROPOSAL

What’s your idea? It’s the perfect spot for a gaggle of painters, assemblers, weavers to use as a studio. OR maybe you’d use it for meetings, a quiet writing spot, ping-pong, dressmaking, photography, salon! The Steel Yard has previously rented office space to computer programmers, architects, sewing studios, 4H Club, etc…. The possibilities are endless and we want to hear from you.

PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
  • Interest in signing a minimum of a 2-year lease
  • Meet Insurance requirements of the lease
  • Conform to allowable building uses

HOW TO APPLY

Step 1. Submit a Proposal
Take a moment to fill out the Rental Application
Step 2. Review/Interview
A panel of community members, board and staff will review each submission
Step 3. Selection
Finalists will be contacted to schedule a walkthrough and review of lease terms. The selected proposal will be announced in May and the unit will be move-in ready, June 1, 2020
