Every Friday at the Yard, make merchandise and props for the Nov. 14 Iron Pour. Work with metal and clay or try your hand at making prints.
It’s free! It’s fun! All equipment provided, including safety equipment.
Interested in metal and flames?
-Every Friday, July 24 through November 13, 6 to 9 p.m.
-Help make big metal sculptures and prep flammable props
-No sign up needed
-All ages welcome, must have adult supervision
-Wear boots or closed-toe shoes
-Bring a water bottle
Want ceramics and printmaking?
-Three Fridays: August 7, August 21, September 18, 6 to 9 p.m.
-Make mugs and trinket trays or block-print bandanas and totes

It all happens at the Yard, located at 27 Sims Avenue in Providence. Street parking available. Light snacks provided. Remember this is a group effort. Be prepared to collaborate!
About The Iron Pour
Each fall, The Steel Yard celebrates its roots in metalwork at the Iron Pour. During the event, foundry artists melt recycled iron in custom-built furnaces that tilt, then pour the glowing metal into molds and over giant themed creations, all made in partnership with the public during Fab Nights. The result is a spectacle of spark and flame that has wowed crowds for 20 years. This year’s theme is the firebird, a creature from Slavic myth that symbolizes resurrection and renewal. It’s time for feathers and fire!
