Give Time
Support the Steel Yard by donating our most sought-after resource… time! Spend a few hours, or a whole day working on various projects around the Yard. We try and match up your skills and interests with our volunteer projects, or, you can try something completely new!
Just a few common projects are:
- distributing posters and catalogs around town
- mailing announcements to our subscribers
- helping us prepare for events
- event photography
- shop construction projects
- language translation
- filing paperwork
- data entry
- landscaping
- general upkeep in our shop
- assisting a course
- painting
Second Saturday Volunteer Days at the Steel Yard are a great way to help out in a group setting. On the second Saturday of each month, from 11am – 3pm, we work together keep the Yard looking great. It’s a great way to meet new people, enjoy a beautiful day outside and be creative. Tasks vary, but come prepared to get a little dirty. Please RSVP to
