Jacqueline Knight

Jacqueline Knight is an Australian artist currently based in Providence. Her work contains blown, solid-worked, and cast glass varying from miniature to large-scale sculpture. She draws inspiration from representational objects and their cultural contexts. Using the optical qualities of the glass, Jacqueline creates unique variations on traditional forms. Awarded her masters degree from Alfred University, Jacqueline works out of her studio in Providence and is a production glassblower for Luke Adams Glass in Norwood, Ma. She has previously taught at the Australian National University (ANU), Alfred University and the Pittsburgh Glass Center. Prior to coming to the USA, Jacqueline was a design associate at the JamFactory Craft and Design Centre and an undergrad at the ANU. Jacqueline’s work can be seen in 500 Glass Objects, New Glass Review and her website www.jacquelineknight.com <http://www.jacquelineknight.com> .
