Jacqueline Knight

Jacqueline Knight is an Australian artist currently working in Providence. Her work contains blown, solid-worked, and cast glass varying from large-scale sculpture to functional tableware. She draws inspiration from representational objects and their cultural contexts. Using the optical qualities of the glass, Jacqueline creates unique variations on traditional forms. Having recently been awarded her masters degree from Alfred University, Jacqueline currently works out of her studio in Providence and also teaches at Diablo Glass School in Boston. She has previously taught at Alfred University and the Australian National University. Prior to coming to the USA, Jacqueline was a design associate at the JamFactory Craft and Design Centre and has worked with many glass artists including Richard Whiteley, Kirstie Rea and Stephen Dee Edwards. Jacqueline’s work can be seen in 500 Glass Objects, New Glass Review and in the Ranamok Glass Prize exhibition touring Australia.
