Pecha Kucha is a monthly format for sharing ideas, in which presenters are allotted 20 PowerPoint slides and 20 seconds per slide. Put simply: 6 minutes and 40 seconds of PowerPoint performance art. Presenters from all domains of creative activity are welcome - activists, animators, arbiters, architects, artists, chefs, coolhunters, critics, curators, designers, dreamers, entrepreneurs, fabricators, fashionistas, historians, makers, rabblerousers, scientists... - but the experience should be primarily visual. Pecha Kucha began in Tokyo in 2003, has since spread to 235+ cities worldwide, and now it's in Providence.
